Kenya is a wildlife photographer’s haven. Our customized wildlife photo safaris focus on some of Kenya’s best photographic regions: The famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, the semi-arid savannah lands of Northern Kenya – Samburu Game Reserve and the wetlands of Lake Nakuru National Park. We spend extensive time at each location to get a feel for the wild and to capture incredible wildlife images.
The Masai Mara – the greatest wildlife location in all of Africa. The region is one of the best locations for predators – lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and crocodiles. Not only focusing on the predators and their prey, birds are also a big part of the Mara eco-system – eagles, hawks, vultures and rollers to name a few. Our trip is focused around the time of the traditional great migration of wildebeests and zebras crossing the Mara River from the Serengeti.
Samburu – home to Kenya’s special five – the rare Grevy’s Zebra, gerenuk, Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffes and Somali ostrich. Elephants are abundant around the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River. Birds are plentiful including vulturine guinea fowls, colorful kingfishers and bee-eaters.
Lake Nakuru – best known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingoes feeding along its shores. The surface of the shallow lake is often hardly recognizable due to the continually shifting mass of pink. The park is also a sanctuary to protect Rothschild giraffes, black and white rhinos.
This Photo Safari is an astonishing opportunity to photograph three of East Africa’s most exceptional wildlife locations. With only two to three participants in each vehicle, incredible accommodations, a well experienced leader together with exceptional local guides who fully understand the needs of photographers, our Kenya Wildlife Photographic Safari is a creative and memorable photographic adventure.
